Imagine an elderly woman named Margaret, who has shared her life with a small rescue dog, Benny, for over a decade. Benny is her confidant, her daily joy, and the reason she gets up each morning. But as her medical bills grow and her fixed income stretches thin, providing Benny with food and vet care becomes an overwhelming burden.
This is where LEU steps in.
Through pet food assistance, veterinary care support, fostering programs, and in-home services, we ensure that seniors like Margaret never have to say goodbye to the pet that gives them purpose.

More Than a Nonprofit—A Lifeline
We visit subsidized senior housing communities, offering companionship, pet care education, and emotional support. Our partnerships with local veterinarians, pet food suppliers, and compassionate volunteers allow us to provide essential products and services at little to no cost.
From helping a senior afford pet-friendly housing to fostering a beloved pet when a senior is hospitalized, our goal is simple: No senior should face loneliness, and no pet should be left behind.
